The Mazda CX-50 and the Mazda CX-9
March 21 2022,
Mazda offers one of the most complete lineups of SUVs and crossovers on the market. Two of the most popular models from this range are the Mazda CX-50 and the Mazda CX-9.
The CX-50
The Mazda CX-50 is the newest model to join the Mazda family and it is one of the most modern SUVs on the market. This new model is placed between the CX-5 and the CX-9 in terms of size, but it features all of the characteristics you want in a compact SUV. With its two rows of seats, the CX-50 benefits from a larger cargo space when all of the seats are in use than the CX-9. The CX-50 is powered by one of two engines, a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque or a turbocharged version of the same engine which increases output up to 250 horsepower and 310 ft-lb when using premium fuel. In order to save you money, the turbocharged engine can be fueled with regular grade gasoline and the standard engine allows for fuel economy figures that can be as low as 7.9 L/100 km on the highway.
The CX-9
The Mazda CX-9 is the largest SUV from Mazda and the only one to feature three rows of seats, which makes it able to carry up to seven passengers comfortably. The large dimensions of the CX-9 make it very practical when you need to carry lots of cargo or bulky items since the rear seats fold flat to create a useable load space of 2,016 liters behind the front row of seats. To easily move everything you want to carry, the CX-9 comes standard with the 2.5L turbocharged engine also found in the CX-50. Despite its large size and its impressive cargo space, the Mazda CX-9 is still fuel efficient and its highway fuel consumption is as low as 9.0 L/100 km on the highway.
