2021 Mazda CX-30 Receives Top Safety Pick+ Designation
December 21 2020,
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 became the latest Mazda model to receive the highest possible safety designation from the IIHS. The CX-30 was named Top Safety Pick+ after acing every single IIHS test.
That’s a necessary step to receive the highest award from the independent testing agency. A vehicle must pass all six IIHS crash tests including the difficult driver-side small overlap. The 2021 Mazda CX-30 also had to achieve the highest rating for the effectiveness of its active safety technologies, and even its headlights.
Mazda has more Top Safety Pick+ designations that any other manufacturer, and six models have received the TSP+ award prior to the Mazda CX-30 including every SUV Mazda offers.
“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have the CX-30 earn the 2020 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,“ said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Mazda is committed to providing the most advanced safety technologies in all of our vehicles. We continually strive to challenge ourselves to create products and technologies, that provide our customers a confident and joyful driving experience.“
