February 22 2021,
The Automotive Journalists Association of Canada announced its 8 category awards this weekend for its Canadian Car of the Year awards, and for the second year in a row the 2021 Mazda3 won its segment.
The award was handed out after extensive testing by AJAC journalist members over the course of the year. The 2021 Mazda3 was redesigned in 2019 and features many new technologies, three engines including a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower, and available all-wheel drive.
The 2021 Mazda3 is now eligible for the Canadian Car of the Year, a coveted title that will be announced later this year.
"On behalf of everyone at Mazda who has worked so hard to ensure the Mazda3 is a truly world-class product worthy of repeat selection, I'm very honoured to receive this award," said David Klan, President & CEO, Mazda Canada. "Even with new and improved models being introduced all the time, the Mazda3 can stand the test of time thanks to its combination of award-winning design, premium craftsmanship, engaging driving dynamics, and long-term reliability."
